I would like to thank the Milwaukee Athletic Club and the Mona V Wellness studio for being so accommodating and for having me for October Gallery Night in Milwaukee. The evening was a great success and I had a great time.
Thanks to all who stopped by, you made my night.
Go to Ustream links to watch footage taken of the evening.
My work will be hanging in the Wellness studio for the next few months. If you want to take a yoga class, I suggest the Mona V Wellness studio cause then you get to sit and relax while starring at my funky paintings!
- and I am with him.
Found this guy’s portfolio on Behance and pretty much made me loose an hour of the day. At first I thought he was just a explosive character designer, but with more poking around I found he is a graphic designer in Germany who dabbles is much more. I’m pretty sure he is one of the coolest animators I have seen in a long time. It is almost as if he put a contemporary spin on classic and Renaissance like portraits, where it was all about the distinguished pose, extravagant patterns, drink in hand and jewelry. I love it and hope to own some of his work one day.
Check out his Behance portfolio and personal website/blog for videos and gallery exhibitions.
This mini film started as a documentation photo series intended to be able to match every note of a song I was trying to use as inspiration. I was going to take a photo of each note in the song “You enjoy myself” by Phish.
I wanted to be able to animate the painting being created to the song, really moving along with the music and taking the inspiration right from the song notes.
Needless to say I was only like 90 seconds into the song and it took me four hours to get just these ninety slides and it was a 12 minute song.
I gave up on the project and started painting faster, cause it was killing. So I made this mini film instead with some beats from the artist Blockhead.
Just spent a night collaborating with my boyfriend on this sweet display case for selling some prints on the upcoming gallery show!
